New Age Cartel: Now Live
Four days ago I launched New Age Cartel, a persistent browser-based crime game, and more than 40 players have joined since. I’m a solo developer, so every player who tries it directly shapes where the game goes next.
New Age Cartel is a noir crime game inspired by classic text-based PBBGs. You begin as a street-level hustler and work your way up through a living, player-driven underworld. Progress is saved to your account and the world keeps moving while you’re away.
Core systems currently live:
- Crimes with success rates and mastery progression, scaling from petty theft to larger operations
- Heists and boss hunts for higher-risk, higher-reward play
- Gym training across multiple facility tiers, with stats that directly affect your performance
- A player-driven market where prices are set by supply and demand
- A banking and laundering system for managing dirty, clean and offshore cash
- A casino with slots, blackjack, roulette and several original games
- Three career paths (Hustler, Enforcer and Corrupt), each with a distinct playstyle
- Real-time chat, plus alliances through the Blood Vow system
The game is free to play, runs on desktop and mobile, and needs no download. Because the world is still young, early players have a real opportunity to establish themselves before the economy matures and the competition grows.
I’m actively developing the game and listening closely to player feedback. If you e
njoy crime strategy, economy-driven games or long-term progression, I’d be glad to have you.
